I have always google-d for answers to tech issues that I face day-to-day. Sometimes, while I don't find any answers, I had to come up with my own set of answers. As such, this is a location for others to view and get the information I have learned as a way for me to contribute back to the E-Society. Accessing Linux Server or Samba Share (NAS) on Vista PC

Our engineer found the 'fix' to be able to fix the problem with access to SMB share on Linux from Vista...

Connect to Samba Share

1- Start - Run - Regedit
2- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControl... l\Lsa
3- Double click "LmCompatibilityLevel", and change the value from 0 "Default" to 1
4- Restart your computer.
